Jonathon Ive, the Apple industrial design whiz responsible for the iconic look of blockbuster products such as the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, has purchased a home on San Francisco’s uber-exclusive Gold Coast, according to the WSJ.
[ad#Google Adsense u tekstu]The recently knighted Brit reportedly bought the home for 17 million of the Scrooge McDuck-sized pile of dollars he has no doubt accumulated during his tenure in Cupertino, an epoch in which he and Steve Jobs literally transformed the way people interact with technology.
$17 million is a lot of money, but don’t worry about Mr. Ive – or any other Apple stock-holder – running into financial problems anytime soon. The company is set to rack up enough iPhone 5 sales to raise the GDP of these United States of America by roughly half of a percent. Now, half a percent may not sound like much, but in an economy the size of the U.S. that fraction equals approximately $3.2 billion.
Which is a lot.
