The cast of Friends dominated the celebrity real estate scene in 2011, with Chandler, Rachel and Ross buying and selling properties left and right, and it appears the trend will continue in 2012. Becoming the first of the hit sitcom’s cast members to play the market this year is Jennifer Aniston, who, according to TMZ, has reportedly shelled out $21 million for a magnificent California Modern dwelling in the hills of Bel Air. Brooke Shields finally finished renovating her Greek Revival townhouse on West 10th Street last summer, after a noisy introduction to the neighbors, and moved in. Now Shields has officially cut ties to her previous abode: she and husband Chris Henchy have officially sold their co-op at 458 Broadway for $2.95 million. As the Huffington Post pointed out last night, new Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul spent some of his $68 million contract cash on a mansion in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles, California. The home belonged to pop singer Avril Lavigne who listed it after separating from husband Deryck Whibley of the band Sum 41. We looked at this home last May when it was listed for $9.5 million. Hollywood power couple Warren Beatty and Annette Bening have hung a “For Rent” sign on their Beverly Hills home, asking a cool $25,000 a month in rent plus, presumably, first and last month’s rent.
